STEM Advising Meeting

STEM Scholars:

What’s com­ing up? We have our STEM Advis­ing meeting/luncheon on Wednes­day March 29^th in S538 from 12–1pm. At this meet­ing, there will be 6+ fac­ul­ty mem­bers who will be there to help you nav­i­gate your course choic­es for the spring. While each of you have a pro­gram require­ment sheet (LATS, LATCS, ENG, etc), the spe­cif­ic cours­es you need to take vary depend­ing on the major you wish to pur­sue and the insti­tu­tion you think you may trans­fer to. Tak­ing the right set of cours­es at Mas­sas­oit will help you to save time and mon­ey by ensur­ing that you are tak­ing cours­es that work for your edu­ca­tion and career goals.

The Spring course advis­ing peri­od begins March 27^th and Reg­is­tra­tion for cours­es begins soon after that. (April 10–13 is pri­or­i­ty reg­is­tra­tion; it’s open to every­one on the 18^th.)

The Advise­ment and Coun­sel­ing Cen­ter encour­age you to do the following:

• Log in to the MyMas­sas­oit por­tal: check Degree­Works, your Mas­sas­oit e‑mail, the Advis­ing page;
• Attend group advis­ing ses­sions held by aca­d­e­m­ic depart­ments (like the STEM Advis­ing 3/29)
• Meet with your assigned advi­sor (you can find his/her name in DegreeWorks).

On Wednes­day, you can chat with one of the STEM fac­ul­ty and then (if you have less than 30 cred­its) con­firm your choic­es with your assigned advi­sor and receive your PIN from your assigned advisor.
