STEM Scholars:
What’s coming up? We have our STEM Advising meeting/luncheon on Wednesday March 29th in S538 from 12–1pm. At this meeting, there will be 6+ faculty members who will be there to help you navigate your course choices for the spring. While each of you have a program requirement sheet (LATS, LATCS, ENG, etc), the specific courses you need to take vary depending on the major you wish to pursue and the institution you think you may transfer to. Taking the right set of courses at Massasoit will help you to save time and money by ensuring that you are taking courses that work for your education and career goals.
The Spring course advising period begins March 27th and Registration for courses begins soon after that. (April 10–13 is priority registration; it’s open to everyone on the 18th.)
The Advisement and Counseling Center encourage you to do the following:
- Log in to the MyMassasoit portal: check DegreeWorks, your Massasoit e‑mail, the Advising page;
- Attend group advising sessions held by academic departments (like the STEM Advising 3/29)
- Meet with your assigned advisor (you can find his/her name in DegreeWorks).
On Wednesday, you can chat with one of the STEM faculty and then (if you have less than 30 credits) confirm your choices with your assigned advisor and receive your PIN from your assigned advisor.
Come by, bring an idea of what you think you want to take and let’s make sure your are on the right track! Bring your lunch we hope to see you Wednesday! We will provide delicious cookies!
