There are many many types of bees. Over 20,000 bee species roam the Earth. The most common one is the Honey bee, Apis mellifera. Another common one is the Bumble bee, Bombus. There is only ONE species of honey bee in the 20,000 bee species. Along with that, the honey bees aren’t even native to America! Yes, the honey bees are an important part of our ecosystem and without them our agriculture industry would collapse. However, there are so many species that go unnoticed but work just as hard as the honey bees. These unknown species are once you might see everyday! The common lasioglossum is tiny and wasp like so you might not even see it!
