For this knowledge check, I only mastered one class. I wasn’t surprised since in high school, I sort of failed Pre-Calculus. The first couple topics weren’t too hard but now I am on trigonometry. It is not my favorite. I’ve been frustrated more often than I’d like to be.
In the afternoons, we do activities related to the other parts of STEM. Science, Technology and Engineering are the categories. One afternoon, we did programming. We used the MIT App Inventor. I am into Computer Science, and especially programming, so this interested me. The program for the programming was fairly simple. We first worked on the user interface, which consisted of 3 oval buttons with the words “Stop”, “Slow” and “Go” on them. Then we did the “programming” part of it. It was in blueprint form. The coding was already programmed in to little blocks that you could move onto the page. We programmed Stop to turn red, slow to turn yellow and go to turn green. Each button would turn the other colors off. This was my favorite day.
