Along with read­ing and inter­pret­ing sci­en­tif­ic arti­cles, stu­dents have the chance to par­tic­i­pate in cre­at­ing posters to present at the Eco­log­i­cal Soci­ety of Amer­i­ca’s nation­al con­fer­ence. This is a rare oppor­tu­ni­ty for under­grads. Stu­dents will trav­el to the con­fer­ence city, stay in a hotel, and attend the con­fer­ence for the week. Trav­el and con­fer­ence tick­ets are cov­ered by the Mas­sas­oit STEM Research pro­gram. This is an invalu­able expe­ri­ence, and stu­dents who present a poster at the con­fer­ence will have a pub­lish­ing credit.
