Highly Recommended

I started this project without much knowledge about pollinators, as my background was completely different. After one year, I gained a deep understanding of wild bees and how important they are for our ecosystem. I also learned a lot about the research process, especially through regular field observations and data collection. This internship was a valuable experience that helped me grow both scientifically and personally.   — Eduardo D.

Great Mentorship

The mentors at the STEM program are dedicated to the success of each of the interns. They provide opportunities for interns to design their own path depending on their personal interests, and challenge them to think critically and be accountable. I really enjoy journal club and have not only become more comfortable deciphering scientific articles, but I have learned to recognize good experimental design and can identify data that supports or refutes a hypothesis.    ‑Meg W.

Excellent Training

I began the internship as a high schooler at Southeastern Vocational High School, and it really helped me decide what path I wanted to take in college and beyond. I appreciate all of the experience I have gotten, especially presenting my abstract at the Ecological Society of America national conference as a community college student.   — Skyla S.
